Video Archive 2011

outofsite_chi has been creating unexpected encounters in public spaces since 2011. The video archive includes short five minute video excerpts of durational public performances often lasting over two hours or more. 2011 was our first year and we were learning as we went along. Pretty Dirty by Hanh Pham hired her own documentary crew to create the documentary of the piece. Hanh Pham collaborated with the artist Eden Unluata-Foley and Hanh Pham had the philosophy to hire a local artist to the neighborhood everytime she created the work. For OoS 2011 she hired the artist, Jessica Rochon who researched the Indigenous history of the area and decided to let this inspire the design of Pretty Dirty. We also wish to thank Dfbrl*r who provided a hub space for the artists and tech team to gather and get ready.
