PERFORMANCE: “Mnemonic Memory”

Vanessa Dion Fletcher is a multidisciplinary artist who focuses on performance. She received a B.F.A (hons) from York University in 2005 and is pursuing a Masters of Fine Arts in Performance at The School of The Art Institute of Chicago. Vanessa Dion Fletcher’s work has been exhibited in Toronto at Harbor Front Centre Not So Fast and Montreal at Art Mûr: A Stake in the Ground: Contemporary Native Art Manifestation, as well as Peterborough, Oshawa, and London Ont. In Addition to her own art practice Dion Fletcher works with the Aboriginal Education Centur at the Toronto District School Board facilitating workshops for teachers and students. She has curated two exhibitionsEmnowaangosjig || Coming Out: The Shifting and Multiple Self and Ancestral Teachings Contemporary Perspectives. Her work is held in the Aboriginal Art Center Collection.
