CV Peterson is an interdisciplinary performance artist residing in Chicago, USA. They received a BA (’10) from Gustavus Adolphus College in Japanese studies and studio art, a BFA (’14) from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC). CV studied sumi-e (Japanese ink brush painting) at Kansai Gaidai University in Hirakata-shi, Japan; followed by an apprenticeship at Moeller Bronze, Ltd. They are currently pursuing their MFA (’16) in Performance Art from SAIC. CV’s mentors include Erica Mott, Joseph Ravens, Roberto Sifuentes, Carron Little, Robin Deacon, Mark Jeffery and Ruth Margraff.

CV is an active member in Chicago’s local and international performance community. Most recently performed at The Performance Arcade 2015, Wellington, New Zealand. Currently interning at Defibrillator Performance Art Gallery in Chicago, IL, USA. CV is a two season participant at Make Art + Thrive: Buena Vista Art Residency, Buena Vista, Georgia, USA.
